How do you resize a shape vertically ONLY.

Tavis 8 years ago updated by Irina 7 years ago 4

Not sure if I'm missing something super obvious, but I can't resize a square box ONLY vertically or ONLY horizontally. the Shapes seem to only scale proportionally. I want to make a simple rectangle object that is a specific height and width, but can't seem to do that in the editor (?!)

thanks!

Hi Tavis,

Thank you for reaching us out. This is how the graphics editor works. For now you can only scale the objects proportionally. However, if you need us to add some figures to the editor, so it becomes easier for you to work with it.

Please, just let me know, what solution would be the most convenient for you. In the meantime, I´ll make sure to pass your feedback to our developers. We´ll definitely be able to manage it, however, we do need to stick to our roadmap as well.

I´ll be waiting for your reply. Sorry once again for the unconveniences you´re facing.

Have a great day!

Irina,
Having the ability to take a pre-existing object (like a banner or shape) and scale it down non-proportionally allows for things like creating semi-transparent color blocks as a way to highlight a text area, for instance. Upvoted! :)

Hi there!

I'm completely with you! The update of the graphics is one of our najor priorities for the end of this year and the Q1 2017. The thing you're referring to will be changed on the first place.

As for now, we try to solve this problem adding a number of elements that have different sizes to fit any piece of text and meet any needs.

Thanks again for your suggestions. If you have any comments or propositions in terms of editor's improvement, I'll be more than happy to talk about them. Please, let me know.

Best regards, Irin
